New platform connects people with opportunities across Canada’s growing quantum industry
Quantum is no longer a technology of tomorrow; it’s creating jobs in Canada today. With demand for talent rising across computing, sensing, communications, cybersecurity, and enabling technologies, Quantum Industry Canada (QIC) has launched QuantumJobs.ca, the country’s first job board dedicated to careers in its quantum industry.
There are now more than 105 homegrown Canadian firms operating across quantum computing, sensing, communications, and enabling technologies, plus more than 40 international companies with quantum-related operations in Canada.

From researchers and engineers to business leaders and operators, their work is making quantum a cornerstone of Canada’s future prosperity and security,” said Lisa Lambert, CEO of QIC. “With QuantumJobs.ca, we’re strengthening the workforce pipeline by making it easier for top talent from Canada and around the world to find opportunities to shape Canada’s quantum economy.”
The launch of QuantumJobs.ca comes as Canada positions itself to capture a significant share of the global quantum opportunity. McKinsey Digital’s Quantum Technology Monitor estimates the economic value of quantum computing, sensing, and communications will reach upwards of USD $2 trillion by 2035 across industries including chemicals, life sciences, finance, and mobility. A study commissioned by the National Research Council of Canada projects that the domestic quantum sector alone could contribute more than 3 per cent of Canada’s GDP by 2045 — rivaling the aerospace industry — while creating over 209,000 high-value jobs and strengthening both national and economic security.
